Denver SAS User Group Jan 14, 2009
The next meeting of the Denver SAS Users Group will be Wednesday, January 14th from 4:30 to 6:00pm in Heitler Hall in the Goodman Building at National Jewish Medical & Research Center. Our speaker will be John Schmitz, PhD. who will be presenting two talks:
1. Creating and Using Custom Formats for Data Management and Summarization Pro=
cessing
The presentation will review creation of custom formats directly in Proc Fo=
rmat as well as through the data step. These formats will then be applied =
for lookup tables in a data step (replacing a merge) and for summarization =
within a class statement. The presentation will be introductory to interme=
diate level and serve as a base for the second topic.
2. Using Multilabel formats for data summarization.
The focus will be on defining, creating and using multilabel formats. The =
presentation will demonstrate using multilabel formats to divide data into =
multiple time buckets and provide appropriate summary statistics based on e=
ach period. No knowledge of MLFs is assumed.
