This position is responsible for driving Sales and Profit for the Merchandising team. The Manager in this role is responsible for identifying and driving initiatives to increase sales among existing and new customers through all available Marketing Channels. This role has direct responsibility for providing daily leadership of the analytics team: which includes team development, project management, and analytical oversight. The manager is responsible for developing and implementing analytical techniques, tools, and scorecards to drive business results and ensure fact-based analytics are utilized when making promotional, advertising, and strategic customer decisions that increase the overall customer experience. Including, engaging with Marketing and Merchandising Leadership to ensure successful delivery of their customer analytic needs.


• Deliver material sales and profit performance through the application of advanced analytics across Marketing.
• Interface directly with Executive Leadership across Marketing and Merchandising to improve sales and profit performance.
• Apply advanced quantitative methods, data mining, modeling, and analytical tools to solve complex business problems across Marketing.
• Responsible for the sales and profit performance of corporate Marketing initiatives.
• Ensure that the leadership of Marketing and their teams have reporting and analytics for customers.
• Provide direct leadership for Marketing Analytics team members, including team staffing, growth and development, evaluation, issue resolution and coaching.
• Establish and maintain accurate project and departmental financial plans, budgets and projections, including PO management, vendor cost management, and periodic, quarterly and annual fiscal planning processes.
• Collaborate closely with other key analytics teams (e.g., Finance, Consumer Insights, and Shopper Marketing Analytics) to maximize impact and returns on analytical resources.


• Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years business experience in marketing analysis or analytics consulting leadership.
• Experience managing teams and cross-functional partner relationships.
• Experience in analytic techniques applied to customer valuation, marketing ROI, design of experiment, and segmentation.
• Knowledge of Software - Microstrategy; Spectra, ESRI, Office Suite, SAS, SQL.
• Experience in customer-facing industry (traditional or online retailing).
• Multi-channel experience preferred - familiar with both in-store/branch and online analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and apply information-driven analytic and quantitative approaches to solving complex and ambiguous business problems in a timely manner and with tangible results.
• Proficient in a wide range and application of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments.
• Active curiosity-Must enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and solve problems.
