This position reports to the Director of Credit and Risk Management and supports online operations through assessing and monitoring loan portfolio risk performance with emphasis on fraud risk detection and prevention.  It requires an individual who understands consumer lending and risk management principles and has ability to build risk strategies through quantitative analysis and process enhancement.  This position is also expected to be a team player who can communicate and work with cross-functional teams.  It is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing team, attain recognition, see the results of your work and advance your career.


  • Assess and monitor loan portfolio risk performance with emphasis on fraud risk detection and prevention.
  • Application development and monitoring via text mining and/or fraud detection.
  • Utilize SAS/SQL and other standard analytic tools for organizing and developing business analyses.
  • Query data and build reports for process/strategy monitoring and evaluation.
  • Use data-oriented approach to work with others in solving complex business problems around profitability, marketing, risk and operational analysis.
  • Design experiments and use various test and control strategies for collections, marketing and operations.  Analyze results and build process/strategy enhancements.
  • Perform data-oriented ‘what if’ and ‘ad hoc’ analysis to support business strategy optimization in profitability, marketing, risk and operations.


  • BS degree in quantitative curriculum.  Master’s degree in CS, statistics or other quantitative field with knowledge of machine learning preferred.
  • 2+ years experience of related experience for MS degree.  Experience in relational database querying (SGL/SAS/R/Access) is required.  Modeling of credit and fraud risk statistics and performance is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills as would be needed to communicate in person, by phone and through email.

  • Able to read, write, evaluate and apply information.
